Your jewelry design proposal: what to include

A good design brief keeps your preferences together while leaving room for your jeweler's expertise. Your Jewelrystore.us proposal is a portable concept specification, not a contract or a manufacturing file.

Create and download your proposal

Use the free online jewelry designer to create a ring, pendant or earrings. Select Download design proposal PDF. The export records your design and, when the 3D preview is available, front, side and top views. Open an example proposal PDF to see the layout.

If the browser cannot render or capture 3D, the PDF identifies itself as a written specification. You can still use its link to reopen the concept on another supported device. PNG and text downloads are available separately.

Check the specification

Review the jewelry type, style, metal, stone-outline dimension and finish. Ring proposals also cover band, fit preferences and applicable accent details. Earring costs should cover a complete pair; a pendant's chain needs its own decision.

Color and size are visual choices, not verified gem identity, grade or carat weight. Your maker will refine the setting engineering, final dimensions and fit before production.

Keep the link and optional budget

The PDF contains a clickable reopen link and QR code. Anyone you share that file or link with can see the encoded concept, including its engraving. Downloading does not automatically send it to a store.

After using the cost calculator, return to the unchanged design and choose Update proposal with your budget. The added scenario is dated and identifies your assumptions. Editing the design requires revisiting the budget.

Use the proposal at an appointment

Ask about actual stone sourcing, metal weight, setting details, resizing, lead time and revisions. Compare an itemized quote with the quote checklist.

Then find a local jeweler by ZIP or explore online versus local options. Keep the store visit checklist with your proposal.

Put your idea into a proposal

Design your own jewelry online for free, download the concept and explore your budget before choosing where to buy.
